Terms of service

Last updated: 08.07.2026

Welcome to PatternTo.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the PatternTo website, the purchase of products offered through our online store, and the rights and obligations of both you ("Customer") and PatternTo ("Seller").

By placing an order through our Store, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

Please note: All products sold by PatternTo are made to order and personalised according to the Customer's own design.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:

Store means the PatternTo online store.

Customer means any individual or legal entity placing an order through the Store.

Product means a personalised photo album created by the Customer using the PatternTo editor.

Project means the customised album designed by the Customer before placing an order.

Seller means the owner of PatternTo. Business details will be updated once the company is officially registered.

2. About our Products

PatternTo offers personalised photo albums created entirely by the Customer.

Each Product is manufactured exclusively after an order has been placed and payment has been successfully received.

As every Product is individually personalised, no two Products are identical.

3. Placing an Order

Ordering from PatternTo is simple:

  1. Choose your preferred album cover.
  2. Design your personalised album using our online editor.
  3. Add your finished Project to the shopping cart.
  4. Select your preferred delivery and payment method.
  5. Complete your purchase.

Once payment has been successfully processed, your order enters production.

A sales contract is concluded once PatternTo confirms receipt of your payment.

4. Personalisation

The Customer is solely responsible for the content of the Project created using the Store.

Before placing an order, the Customer should carefully review:

  • photographs,
  • text,
  • spelling,
  • grammar,
  • page layout,
  • image positioning,
  • dates,
  • and all other elements of the Project.

Once production has started, the Project can no longer be edited, modified or cancelled.

5. Customer Content

By submitting photographs, text or any other content to PatternTo, the Customer confirms that:

  • they own the content or have all necessary rights and permissions to use it;
  • the submitted content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights of third parties;
  • where required by law, they have obtained permission from individuals appearing in the submitted photographs.

The Customer remains solely responsible for all uploaded content.

PatternTo shall not be liable for any claims arising from materials provided by the Customer.

6. Production

Production begins shortly after payment has been successfully received.

To fulfil the order, the Customer's Project is converted into print-ready files and securely transferred to our trusted production partner responsible for printing and fulfilment.

Because every Product is manufactured according to the Customer's individual specifications, production starts as soon as reasonably possible after payment.

7. Right to Cancel & Personalised Products

All Products offered by PatternTo are personalised and manufactured according to the Customer's individual specifications.

For this reason, Customers acting as consumers do not have the statutory right to withdraw from the contract after production has begun.

This exclusion is based on Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, which excludes goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised from the standard withdrawal right.

Orders may only be cancelled before production has started. Once production has commenced, cancellation is no longer possible.

8. Prices and Payments

All prices displayed in the Store are shown in the selected currency and include applicable taxes where required by law.

Shipping costs are calculated separately during checkout and are displayed before the order is confirmed.

PatternTo currently accepts payments through available payment providers, including but not limited to:

  • Shop Pay
  • PayPal
  • Google Pay

Available payment methods may vary depending on the Customer's location.

PatternTo reserves the right to modify available payment methods at any time.

9. Delivery

Each Product is manufactured specifically for the Customer after an order has been placed.

Estimated production and delivery times are displayed on the Store and may vary depending on:

  • destination country;
  • production facility;
  • carrier;
  • seasonal demand.

While PatternTo always aims to meet estimated delivery dates, these timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

PatternTo is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs procedures, force majeure events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

10. Product Quality

Minor variations between the digital preview and the printed Product may occur.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • colour differences resulting from screen calibration;
  • slight positioning tolerances during printing;
  • paper texture;
  • print finishing.

Such differences are considered normal characteristics of printed products and do not constitute defects.

11. Complaints

If the Customer receives a Product that:

  • has been damaged during production,
  • contains manufacturing defects,
  • differs substantially from the approved Project,

the Customer may submit a complaint.

To submit a complaint, the Customer should contact PatternTo by email and provide:

  • the order number;
  • a description of the issue;
  • clear photographs showing the defect.

PatternTo will review the complaint as quickly as possible and inform the Customer of the outcome.

If the complaint is accepted, PatternTo may, at its discretion:

  • replace the Product,
  • reproduce the Product,
  • issue a full or partial refund.

12. Customer Support and Complaints

Customers should contact PatternTo directly regarding any questions, complaints or issues related to their order.

Although PatternTo cooperates with trusted third-party production and fulfilment partners, the sales contract is concluded between the Customer and PatternTo.

Customers should therefore not contact the production partner directly, as all communication regarding orders, complaints and refunds is handled exclusively by PatternTo.

To report an issue, please contact:

Email: hello@patterntoprints.com

When submitting a complaint, please include:

  • your order number;
  • a description of the issue;
  • photographs clearly showing the problem;
  • where applicable, photographs of the product packaging.

13. Intellectual Property

The PatternTo website, its design, branding, logo, text and other original content are protected by intellectual property laws.

Customers retain ownership of the photographs and other content they upload.

By placing an order, the Customer grants PatternTo a limited, non-exclusive licence solely for the purpose of producing and delivering the ordered Product.

This licence automatically expires once the order has been fulfilled, except where retention is required by law or for handling complaints.

Any graphic elements, icons, illustrations or design assets made available within the editor remain the property of their respective owners or licensors and may only be used within the PatternTo editor for creating Products.

They may not be copied, downloaded, redistributed or used for any other purpose.

14. Limitation of Liability

PatternTo is not responsible for:

  • spelling or grammatical mistakes made by the Customer;
  • low-resolution or poor-quality uploaded images;
  • incorrect image cropping chosen by the Customer;
  • inaccuracies contained in the Customer's Project;
  • delays caused by shipping carriers or events beyond PatternTo's reasonable control.

PatternTo shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in the country in which the Seller is established.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights granted under the laws applicable in the Customer's country of residence.

20. Accuracy of Product Previews

The preview displayed in the editor is intended to provide the Customer with a visual representation of the final Product.

Minor differences between the on-screen preview and the printed Product may occur due to:

  • monitor or device settings;
  • colour calibration;
  • printing processes;
  • paper characteristics;
  • manufacturing tolerances.

These differences do not constitute manufacturing defects.

21. Order Refusal

PatternTo reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order before production begins where:

  • the submitted content is unlawful;
  • the submitted content infringes the rights of third parties;
  • the Customer has provided false or incomplete information preventing fulfilment;
  • fraud or misuse of the Store is reasonably suspected.

Where payment has already been received and production has not started, the Customer will receive a full refund.

22. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

  • provide accurate personal and delivery information;
  • carefully review the Project before placing the order;
  • ensure uploaded files meet the recommended quality standards;

The Customer is responsible for any consequences resulting from inaccurate information or uploaded content.

The Customer may not:

  • attempt to interfere with the operation of the Store;
  • upload malicious software;
  • use automated tools to access the Store without permission;

PatternTo reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where misuse is detected.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

25. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and Shipping & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between PatternTo and the Customer regarding purchases made through the Store.

27. Electronic Communication

By using the Store and placing an order, you agree to receive communications related to your order electronically, including order confirmations, shipping updates and customer support responses.

Where required by law, marketing communications will only be sent with your prior consent.

28. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any mandatory consumer rights granted under the applicable laws of the country in which the Customer resides.

Where local consumer protection laws provide greater protection than these Terms & Conditions, those mandatory provisions shall prevail.

29. Business Customers

If you place an order on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms & Conditions.

Certain consumer rights described in these Terms & Conditions may not apply to business customers where permitted by applicable law.

30. Force Majeure

PatternTo shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • natural disasters;
  • war or armed conflict;
  • strikes;
  • pandemics;
  • government actions;
  • interruptions to transportation networks;
  • internet or telecommunications failures;
  • failures affecting third-party production or delivery partners.

Where such circumstances occur, PatternTo will make reasonable efforts to minimise delays and keep customers informed.

31. Assignment

PatternTo may transfer or assign its rights and obligations under these Terms & Conditions to another entity in connection with the sale, restructuring or transfer of the business.

Such transfer will not reduce the Customer's statutory rights.

32. Language

These Terms & Conditions are available in multiple languages for the convenience of Customers.

In the event of any inconsistency between language versions, the version published in the language required by the applicable law or, where no such requirement exists, the English version shall prevail unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.
